Access 2007, some comboboxes revert to wrong cyan color instead ofwhite after update
I have a form with 30 combo boxes to let users make field and value
selections for a pivot chart. Only some of the comboboxes change back to the default cyan color after update and the focus advances to the next comboboxes. This only happens in my new Office 2007 desktop install, it does not happen with the same db on my Office 2003 laptop. When the combobox color reverts back to the cyan instead of staying white it appears that the combobox is locked or not available/ enabled when in fact it is not locked and it is available (the little down arrow on the right of the box remains black). I have examined the properties between the OK comboboxes and the problem ones and see no difference. I have tried Format Painter from the OK boxes to reset the problem boxes to no avail. I think this is a bug in Access 2007. Does anyone have a solution to keeping the updated comboboxes white in Access 2007? I have even tried setting the focus back to the few problem comboboxes to reset the background color to white but as soon as the focus switches the problem boxes' background color goes to cyan. |

Access 2007, some comboboxes revert to wrong cyan color instea
Hi, I converted the database to accdb but the problem remained. I then
deleted the comboboxes and re-inserted them and this corrected it, except on subforms. On subforms the problem still remains! Julie, this is from "Microsoft Office Access 2007 Bible", Wiley publisher, page 844: "You will find one problem with combo boxes... Access..needs to determine the data type of the combo box. ...this paint delay is an issue..when you have an unbound combo box that has its RowSource set programmatically." |
