How do I remove read-only on Word and Excel 2000 documents?
I have documents in Word and Excel that I need to place on a disk and move to
another computer. When I look at the documents there is NO read only in the tool options checked. I am using Veritas to copy the files onto a blank disk. They copy fine but come up read-only. What am I doing wrong? I really need to be able to work on these documents elsewhere. HELP!! |

Nothing. Just copy them over to your other computer and if they are still
RO, go into Windows explorer, right-click, select properties and clear the RO option at the bottom. -- JoAnn Paules Microsoft MVP - Publisher How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555375 "Edwina" wrote in message ...
