#VALUE ERROR Question
Hi,
I have the following equation and I would like the result to equal "None" if the result is the #VALUE error. I hope I said that correctly. The equation is =(X16-W16)/W16 The result for this particular one is #VALUE!, sometimes it gives me a number, but when it doesn't, I'd like to it be something in quotations like "None" hope that makes sense. Thanks so much for your help!! |

#VALUE ERROR Question
This means that either X16 or W16 (or both) is non-numeric.
You could use: =if(count(x16,w16)=2,(x16-w16)/w16,"None") or protect against any error (including dividing by 0): =if(iserror((x16-w16)/w16),"None",(x16-w16)/w16) Brent wrote: Hi, I have the following equation and I would like the result to equal "None" if the result is the #VALUE error.
