Default numeric field overflow

I am trying to merge an Excel spreadsheet of addresses into Publisher so that
I can print out pages of labels. I've used Excel and Publisher before with
form letters and it worked great. Labels are not working. Publisher merged
the information, and when I was viewing the merged document, I kept getting
stuck at number 20 of about 289 because of a "Numeric field overflow". I
tried changing the text size, thinking the text was in overflow, but that
didn't help. I test printed it just to see what it would do, and it printed
the first 19 beautifully--but that was it. Any advice? I am using Publisher
2000 on Windows XP. Thanks.
