FE Problem
I have the BE and FE of a 2003 database on a network drive. Users copy the FE
to their My Documents folder and then put a shortcut to it on their desktop. So far, that has worked fine. The network drive is not read only and everyone has rights to it. Another user just copied it to My Documents and created a shortcut. It is giving me some strange stuff, like parts of the form comes back and says it is read-only. One filter won't even work and said it is read-only. One of the 4 forms won't even work at all saying it is read only. I don't have any security set up because anyone can use it unrestricted. What could be going on? Thanks!!! |

FE Problem
Make sure that the user has Office and Access fully patched.
Give that user a fresh copy of the FE. Triple check that the user has read, write, create, delete, and modify privileges to the BE file AND the entire folder where it's located. -- Jerry Whittle, Microsoft Access MVP Light. Strong. Cheap.
