Default Office 2000 - Lost ID Number

I have Office 2000 Professional, which we purchased a few
years ago. We have moved a couple of times since then,
and I lost the certificate of authenticity that has the
ID # needed to reinstall the program on our newer
computer. Is there any way that I can use this software
now? TIA!

If you still have the old computer, do a google search for the
programs keyfinder or aida32 or belarc. One or more of them should be
able to read the Office 2000 key. Failing that, search Microsoft for
who to call and explain it to them. Good luck.
