Default Getting Automation to work

Alright, I'm getting close to getting my emailer to work the way I want it
to. I now have a form based on a query that calculates a date 10 days prior
to a due date. I also have some code written to send out a email to a
recipient. I was wondering if it is possible to add an IF Then statement
somewhere in my code, something to the effect of
If Me.OpenCDRLQueryfrm.[10 Day Alert] = Me.OpenCDRLQueryfrm.[Today's Date]
Then
or something like that. Also, I was thinking of linking this to the 10 day
Alert field but I'm not sure which event. Really what I want the db to do
is look at the calender and when Today's date matches the 10 alert fire off
the email, but that isn't really a click event or double click event. Any
input on this would be greatly appreciated.
