Default A4 and letter

We have hundreds of old MS 2000 word docs and templates that are all
A4.

Following a new XP install and re-install of Word 2000 every doc
prints in letter unless we change it first through page set up. All
the printers are set to A4. The settings are european.

Is there a global way to make sure all old docs open ready to print
in A4?

Thanks

Sparky

Open the Normal.dot template and change the page size for it and then save
it.

It is not necessary to open Normal.dot to do this. Just change the paper
size in Page Setup (without changing anything else) in a new Blank Document
based on Normal.dot and click Default...
