i have to write a resume for my careers class but i dont know how to properly
set it up

Were you missing from class the day that was discussed? A resume is simply a
list of relevant skills and experiences. There are Word templates, but in a
difficult job market yours needs to stand out from the crowd. If it is much
more than one page long, no-one is going to read it so don't waffle.
