Default Return text to cell other than the one with the formula in it?

Is there a way to return text to a designated cell other than the one with the formula in it? If I put a formula in a cell on sheet B to return text to a cell in sheet A with certain criteria to meet before inserting the text. Any help greatly appreciated.

So, if I have an if function in cell A1 sheet B, but wish to send that information that it returns to cell A1 of sheet A without putting that formula in cell A1 sheet A? Is there a send to function or something similar.

Hi Jason
this is only possible with VBA (e.g. using the worksheet change event)
but not with formulas. In your case I would enter the formula Peo
provided to you in cell A1 sheet A
