Return text to cell other than the one with the formula in it?
Is there a way to return text to a designated cell other than the one with the formula in it? If I put a formula in a cell on sheet B to return text to a cell in sheet A with certain criteria to meet before inserting the text. Any help greatly appreciated.

Return text to cell other than the one with the formula in it?
So, if I have an if function in cell A1 sheet B, but wish to send that information that it returns to cell A1 of sheet A without putting that formula in cell A1 sheet A? Is there a send to function or something similar.

Return text to cell other than the one with the formula in it?
Hi Jason
this is only possible with VBA (e.g. using the worksheet change event) but not with formulas. In your case I would enter the formula Peo provided to you in cell A1 sheet A -- Regards Frank Kabel Frankfurt, Germany Jason wrote: So, if I have an if function in cell A1 sheet B, but wish to send that information that it returns to cell A1 of sheet A without putting that formula in cell A1 sheet A?
