Default Reinstall problem-Can't display data

I got a new computer and I wanted to transfer my outlook.pst file to it. I
saved my .pst files from the old computer to a thumb drive, and I then
installed Office XP on the new machine. When I try to look at the .pst on the
new install, I get an incompatability error message. Being not too smart, I
tried to reinstall Office XP on my old machine, and now I can't look at the
data on either computer.

I have the .pst files, so I just need to figure out how to import them into
the current installations of Outlook. I have a lot of email and
contact/calendar data I don't want to lose.

I have two copies of Office XP SBE version 2002 which I am using.

Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Thanks!
-Mike

I notice on the old computer that there are two versions of Office, 2002 and
2003. It looks like I used the wrong disc, and I installed an older version
than I previously was using. Can I just uninstall the one I just installed
using the CD?
Thanks.
