Default Outlook still not responding

I have uninstalled and re-installed twice now and outlook stills hangs on
anything email related. Based on suggestions here about a corrupted file I
have been using the blank .pst file generated by the re-install. STILL MESSED
UP!!

Info: XP pro, latest updates, Office sml bus 2007.

I noticed that my email accounts where still set-up on the re-install. Do I
need to delete some other files when un-installing??

This is a busniness computer and this problem is really putting a hurt to
me. Do I need a third party repair utility? Is this a Microsoft issue? Very
frustrating!!

Thanks.

Any error messages and/or numbers on send/receive? What happens when you
send/receive? What type of mail account is it? Have you checked the
Application Event Viewer for Office-related errors? Have you tried creating a
new Outlook profile? If you use a PST, have you checked it for errors?

Dear Pete,

does Outlook works, if you start Outlook in "safe mode"?

If you use an Anti Virus programm, did you disable this?

How to start Outlook in "safe mode"?

A computer admin. friend recommended uninstalling a latest XP update. So far
that has worked. I will hold back complaints until I verify for a longer time
period if this has worked.

Also, I could not hit my home office network and now I can.
