Default Outlook Not Remembering Login Credentials for Calendar Sharing Ser

Allow me to start by saying I am an MCITP: Enterprise Administrator (ID:
#6919263) and also hold my CompTIA A+ certification. As such, I am not an
incompetent user, and the issues I list are real and in need of a response.
I do I.T. consulting, so I have a lot of power to push your products. Let me
assure you that if these issues are not resolved, I will convert many of my
business clients (as well as myself) to Google Apps. It works. Outlook
doesn't. I'd appreciate it if you at least told me you received this by
emailing the address associated with that ID.

I can't even tell you how frustrated I am with the calendar sharing service
within Outlook. You would think something like this would be easy, but no.
Configuring it has been a nightmare, and while it was working fine for a few
months, it has broken with no progress being made to fix it. I share my
calendar via my Windows Live ID. After going through the sign in process
built into Outlook to share my calendar, my calendar is uploaded to Office
Online and I can share my calendar. I can also download calendars to which I
was given access to view.

Inexplicably, a login credential box always pops up not more than 24 hours
after I login to the calendar service asking for credentials to
calendars.office.microsoft.com. It pops up two of these windows--one for the
upload of my calendar, and one for the download. My credentials are never
accepted. To get it working again, I then have to click "change account"
under "published calendars" (which un-shares my calendar), log out of my
account (even though it says I'm still logged in), and log back in. Then I
have to send all the users of my calendar a new invite since clicking the
"change account" button stopped my calendar from updating anymore. Since
this happens every 24 hours or less, this makes the entire service unusable.
I am also aware of many, many other people who have had this exact problem.

Wake up, Microsoft! Even this form that I'm filling out is pathetic. I
paid for this software, yet now I can't even seem to get support for it
without paying for it. I've paid my dues to Microsoft already. I have
always supported you, and I'm always on the bleeding edge of your technology.
I type this email on my Windows 7 Ultimate OS (upgraded from Windows Vista
Ultimate) about an Office 2007 Ultimate product connected to your Microsoft
Exchange product. I paid full retail for all of these. You expect me to pay
more to bring a problem to your attention that you caused?

I've seen Google calendar. In case you haven't, it is nice. You can share
your calendar with incredible ease. Not only that, but you can hide certain
categories from your calendar with just a click, a feature that Outlook lacks
without going into custom views (a multiple minute process for something
incredibly useful). However, that is a different topic for a different day.
The point is, I'm getting frustrated. Even as I type this, I have no
confidence that I will get this problem fixed or even an email saying you
read it. You want to impress me? You want me to stick with Microsoft and
not switch to a product that works and is FREE? Then prove me wrong.

Snip - wouldn't bandy that around here old boy - letters after a name don't
mean didly squat in computer literacy or competence.

If you'd done some searching, you would have discovered that there's a
problem with the Office On-line calendar sharing server.
And what do you expect? Yes you paid for Outlook but the Office online
sharing service is FREE.

I can assure you that you won't. This is a user-to-user support newsgroup. Microsoft doesn't staff
it or offer support here.

The fact that they solicit comments/suggestions muddies the picture, I'll grant you, but so you
understand, the "you" you're addressing isn't listening. Just us volunteers.
