Default Column Break

I'm currently working on wedding programs for my upcoming wedding. I layed
out the program using two-columns on paper that is oriented landscape. I
used a column break to split the columns to make them equal length. It looks
exactly the way I want in the Print Layout View. However when I print the
document or look at it in the Print Preview Mode, the columns are completely
different. Namely, Word chooses to apparently ignore my column break
completely and even prints outside of the printable margin in order to do so.
I would greatly appreciate any help on this issue. Thanks in advance.

Default Column Break

If you are using Word 2000 or above, instead of using columns, use the "2
pages per sheet" setting on the Margins tab of Page Setup (under "Multiple
pages"). This will give you two logical pages on one physical sheet, and you
can do everything with a page that you could do with any page (including
adding a page border).

Better still, if the program has more than four pages (one sheet front and
back), and you have Word 2002 or above, use the "Book fold" setting, which
will automatically print the pages in the correct order for a folded
booklet.
