I know this is not an office related question but I don't know where else to
go for help.

I just updated to IE 7.0 and now I cannot connect to any websites. I know
there is connectivity because I can access the web using a different browser.
I need help to reestablish connectivity to IE7.0 I can also use my live
messenger.
I am not very computer savvy so I may need detailed steps. PLEASE someone
assist me. THANK YOU.

Where to go for help: microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.setup

There are others.

Get a news reader, stop using that awful CDO for reading newsgroups.
You can configure OE or Windows Mail to read newsgroups and you'll find
it's much easier. You can also get a much better newsreader,
http://www.newsreaders.com/ some of the best are free. I use Xnews as
you can see from my header.

To get connected, try the connection wizard or go through the "Tools"
menu of IE and see if anything shows up.

Please try the IE7 group.
The recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...plorer.general

If you must use a web interface:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...orer. general
