HTTP greyed out
I looked into my problem further and I remember I brought
up OL on my XP profile and exited out of it without really setting anything up. Now I cant rerun the wizard or get email set up. I can go to other XP profiles and the wizard runs, I get the HTTP option and it works great. Any way I can reset the one profile to initialize OL again? I don't want to remove and reload Office 03. Thanks! -----Original Message----- I am using OL2003 and when I try to add a new email account the HTTP option is greyed out. Why? . |

HTTP greyed out
Try creating a new Outlook profile using the Mail applet in Control Panel. If that doesn't work, try Help | Detect and Repair.

Delete the current mail profile by going to Control Panel- Mail- button
Show Profiles. Select the profile and the Remove and then Apply. When you now press Add... you'll be prompted for a profile name (type Outlook if you want the default name) and the Wizard will start again. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] www.howto-outlook.com Tips of the month: -Creating Signatures -Create an Office XP CD slipstreamed with Service Pack 3 ----- "John" wrote in message ... HTTP greyed out
I tried deleting/adding a profile and it didn't work. I
uninstalled/reinstalled office 2003 and still when I get prompted for an email type the HTTP option is greyed out. There must be something in my local settings for this one XP account that is messing it up.
