How do I save a merged file to a regular Word file?
I have a mailing list which I would like to email to someone else to print
labels. Several years back in an earlier version of Word I simply saved the final merged file to a Word document. With Word 2003 each time I open the final merged file Word runs the SQL command to merges it again with my data file. If I tell it not do do so, it brings up my data but the formatting is off. Is there a way to achieve the final output file as I did previously? |

Are you definitely /merging/ to a new document, then saving that new
document? If instead you are /printing/ from the mail merge main document, then saving the mail merge main document, you would see the behaviour you describe. Typically when you merge to a new document, the new document's window is called something like Labels1, Labels2 etc. Peter Jamieson http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk Barbara N wrote: I have a mailing list which I would like to email to someone else to print labels.
