Default Can you lock a custom view? If not, can you create a "reset" ?

Outlook 2003 (and prior versions) allow for the creation of custom views for
any of the modules (e.g. Calendar). After spending considerable time to set
up a view it would be nice to lock the view so that it can't be changed. I
have often been in a custom view and then performed a one-time sort to more
easily retrieve information. I have found no way to go back to the original
custom view easily. (The custom view treats this one-time sort as a
modification to the custom view.) Anyone have a solution?
