How to obtain and activate additional copy of OffixeXP?
I have Office XP standard for Students and Teachers (ver. 2002). I have it
on our family laptop, and I need to install it on the desktop which recently had it's hard drive rebuilt. So I checked the License and intalled it on the desktop computer, but can't activate it. Under Software Product License, Grant of License, 1.1 General License it allows me to "obtain as many copies of the Software Product as the number of Qualified Educational Users such parent or guardian is the parent of legal guardian for." I certainly don't want to do anything illegal, but I thought I was following the agreement. How do I activate this copy? |

Due to EULA changes you can install that on two systems legally now.( it used to be one) If you having activation issue's use the activate by phone option you will need just to explain your issue to the agent. a.. Student and Teacher Edition - 1 PC and 1 laptop, transferable Sorry, but that is complete BS. Office XP STE is one licence *per system*. True, it's transferable but it *CANNOT* be installed on more than one system simultaneously. That was introduced with - and only applies to - Office 2003 STE, which may be installed - and activated - on up to three systems in any combination. There has been no licensing change for Office XP STE. |

Um check your sources this was rolled out the same time office 2003 was
rolled out Have doubts? Call MS I received this data straight from MS -- "Bother," said Pooh as he struggled with the computer. "It never does quite what I want." "I wish Christopher Robin were here." "Miss Perspicacia Tick" wrote in message ... OK you asked for the activation dept right?
It dont matter If homeschool dad calls to activate by phone he will have no issues. If you talked to a customer central agent they would not be in the know of the article -- "Bother," said Pooh as he struggled with the computer. "It never does quite what I want." Well I admire your professionalism in the groups
But it does not matter, I stand by my answer on this. we can see if Bob can resolve this. I gather he is a MVP and may have access to resources you obviously do not.
