Combo Box Column with No Data
I have a table, the first column of which I seem to be unable to get to
appear in a combo box column. Instead I get a column which appears completely blank, though the Row Source indisputably contains the desired values. Any ideas? Thanks, as always, for any and all suggestions. |

What versoin of Access? If 2003, perhaps you need the Hotfix for SP3

Have you checked the column count property of the combo? Try 3 and see if any

Does the combo have a column bound to the field of the table?

Check the ColumnCount (it should match the number of fields in the row source query, and that should match the number of fields you want included) and the BoundColumn (if you want the first column stored, use 1); also check the ColumnWidths property - it will be a string like 0";1";0.5" meaning that the first column is zero width (concealed from view), the second one inch, and the third half an inch. Be sure the column you want to see is nonzero. When the combo is dropped down you'll see all the nonzero width fields (if the combo's wide enough of course); when not dropped, you'll see the first nonzero width column. -- John W. Vinson [MVP] |

Combo Box Column with No Data
Yes, Doug. You hit the nail on the head. I did find (yes, through Google) an
old thread which identified the issue as a bug with SP3 and, yes, I had "" specified in the format for the field in question (I don't do that at the table level anymore). I'll be trying the Hotfix. Thank you Doug!!! Here's the thread link, in case anyone else is reading this: http://www.microsoft.com/communities...2d8280038e&p=1 "Douglas J. Steele" wrote: What versoin of Access?
