You have missed the final step which is to execute the merge either to the
printer or a new document.

I seem to be having a similar problem in Word 2002. I'm merging 2600 labels,
but just about half print.
What seems to be the problem, & how can i resolve it?

Almost certainly, you are not executing the merge.

Use the Mail Merge toolbar to execute it.

Default Mail merge with Excel 2007 will not print but 1 label!!

You have to "complete the merge" - either
a/ merge to the printer or
b. merge to a new document, then print that in the usual way

In Word 2007 (English language version), both options are on the Mailings
tab, Finish and Merge drop down (at the end of the Ribbon)

When you actually print it should print all 900. In preview if you select
next page the next 30 should appear. Nevertheless, they are there when you
print them
