need to move office 07 to a different computer
How do I "de-activate" (or whatever you call it) my Office 2007 so that I can
put it on my new laptop? I tried uninstalling off old laptop and then installing on new laptop and when I go to activate the software it tells me that I can't activate it because I've exceeded the number of times it could be activated. I can't believe that they would make me buy all new software just because I'm getting a new laptop. I can see where that would be a problem if I were putting it on multiple machines, but I've taken it off of the old one. Can anyone help? Thanks,

It depends on how you acquired Office 2007. If it came pre-installed on your old machine, it cannot be moved as it is tied to that machine. If it is a retail version, then you need to use the telephone activation method to activate.

I have the same problem do you have a telephone number for the activation line?
