I downloaded a school year calendar, but I want to make changes

I downloaded a school year calendar for word. I am trying to make changes to
it, but I can not. There are shading for certain dates in the calendar that I
want to change.

I'm not terribly knowledgeable yet about forms but it sounds like the
calendar might have been saved as a "form" and that it has been locked.

You could try this (though more knowledgeable people might jump in with
better way), VIEW TOOLBARS FORMS and if the icon that looks like a lock
is depressed, click it so that it shows as raised and, therefore, untoggled
and de-activated, and that might do the trick. When a form is locked one
can't edit it, but unlocking it seems to free it up. At least, that's been
my experience as I've been working with some forms in the last 2 or 3 days.
