Merged Excel column has nine decimal places in Word
I am merging an Excel file with a Word doc. The Excel
file contains a column of numbers with 2 decimal places, formatted as such. When performing the merge, the data is presented in Word with NINE decimal places. Is there any way to format the Word generated data with 2 decimal places only? |

Merged Excel column has nine decimal places in Word
Hi Circe,
You don't mention the version of Word involved, but I'm guessing it's 2002 or 2003. You'll find information about the problem in the Word 2002 section of my website's mail merge FAQ. I am merging an Excel file with a Word doc. The Excel file contains a column of numbers with 2 decimal places, formatted as such. When performing the merge, the data is presented in Word with NINE decimal places. Is there any way to format the Word generated data with 2 decimal places only?
