Default Autorecovery does't work!

Hi! I have an Arabic version of Word 2000 (Windows XP) and
I had to shut the machine down becasue it was frozen. When
I switched it on again the recovery files appeared
automatically as normal but the latest version was not
saved (all the modifications I had made since the last time
I had saved it were lost). I checked the defaulte setting
for autosave and it is set to save every ten minutes.
I read the 'Microsoft Knowledge Base' to see if I could
recover the files but the ones I found were also the
earliest vesion.

Thanks,
Marina

There is no autosave function in Word, only a hit and miss autorecover
function - see http://www.gmayor.com/automatically_backup.htm
