Default Track change Author/Date popup shows US date format not correct regional set

Word 2002 on NT 4 SP6 - corporate customised environment.
The track change popup which shows Author, Date and Track Change type
information is showing the date in US format.
The PC is configured to show non-US British standard
format..dd/mm/yy.
I cannot find a setting to alter this for the popup. The document is
set to Eng(Australian) and normal.dot + OfficeXP has language set as
Eng(Australian) & Eng(US). That's normal.
How can I get the date to display correctly as dd/mm/yy in these
popups?
Thanks.

Hi Wayne

I can't begin to tell you how miffed I was when I first discovered that the
track changes balloons showed dates the "wrong way round". But, it's
fixable.

Follow the instructions at the following page:
http://homepage.swissonline.ch/cindymeister/LangFmt.htm

While I don't think that page specifically refers to the track changes
balloons, if you set all the languages to English (Australian), you'll get
Australian formatted dates in balloons. Make sure you get rid of all
references to US English everywhere you can.

Cheers
