Default When I try to 'save as,' the program crashes

I said earlier that Picture Manager crashes when I try to save. I just found
that other applications, such as Powerpoint and Publisher, crash when I try
to save. This only happens when I have to choose a destination ('save as' or
'browse'); I can save an existing file in the same location perfectly fine.
The default save folder is My Documents, which only has subfolders in it.
Any ideas on why this is happening?

Could be the updates.
Problems in Windows Explorer or the Windows shell after you install
security update MS06-015 (15 Apr-06)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/918165

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../ms06-015.mspx has
been revised to v1.1 to reflect the issues in KB918165 and now points
to the KB918165.
