Default Can't Open Applications

I recently got hit by a virus and had to reformat my C:
drive, loosing all the information. I had installed
Office XP on a different partition of my hard drive that
I didn't wipe clean. Now when I try to open the
applications it give me the error "The Operating system
is not presently configured to run this application".
How can I fix this problem?

You're going to have to reinstall Office XP. Unfortunately, during
installation, a number of settings are stored in the system registry --
which in most cases is on C:. So, even though Office XP is still intact, its
settings aren't. So, as far as your new installation of Windows is
concerned, Office XP is not yet installed.
