Default Data-Filter on Multiple Entries in Cell

Hi, I am new to the board and using XL2002.

There are instances when I enter more than 1 entry in a cell. For
instance, cell A2 can have the 12 months of 2004 separated by a
carriage return (Alt-Enter).

When I apply, a Data-Filter-Autofilter on Col A, I would like all
multiple entries to appear vertically ie:

Apr-04
Aug-04
Dec-04

etc...

Right now, the dropdown shows:
Jan-04 Chr(10) Feb-04 Chr(10) etc...

Thanks,
XLML

The items one cell won't appear on multiple lines in the AutoFilter
dropdown. You could create one record for each month, and repeat the
data in the other columns in each record.

I was afraid that it couldn't be done. Thanks for your help Debra and
the workaround suggestion.
