Default .aw files

i have office 97 on my computer , i have windows 98.
i do not use powerpoint, excel, access .
i only use word.

can i delete the following files?
fm20.aw, dao35.aw, acmain80.aw, accore80.aw, xlmain8.aw,
workfunc.aw, ppmain8.aw, wdmain8.aw, outhlp.aw, graph8.aw,
binder8.aw, wdhtml8.aw

Some of the files you have listed are critical to Word - 'wdmain8.aw',
'wdhtml8.aw' for example. Suggest you simply uninstall what you don't use. I
can't remember that far back, but I think 97 allows for a selective
installation.
