How do I embed Video in PPT (to send to another user by mail)?
When inserting video clips (WMV) into a slideshow, the clip will refer to the
original file on the disk. When sending to another user (who does not have the video file) it won’t work. One could use object packager to really embed the video to the slide but when playing on the other user’s computer it asks for allowing potential unsafe content and so forth. Furthermore, it opens in an external player. Is there a possibility to embed (truly) a video to PowerPoint where a receiving user 1. Sees a preview picture, 2. Can play the file by just clicking on it? Appreciate your comments |

How do I embed Video in PPT (to send to another user by mail)?
Tom, you could try creating a folder on your desktop and placing the ppt
presentation in this folder. Then place the video file in the folder. Now, open the presentation in the this folder and embed the video (from this same folder) in the usual way. You can now send the whole folder to other users and when playing the presentation the video will stay connected. This, in essence, is the same as object packager but without all the unsafe content, etc. Hope this solves the problem.
