Default Outlook does not allow to switch to main Outlook or Off.program wi

Hello!
Outlook 2003 does not allow to switch to a main Outlook window or an Office
program from which an Office file was sent with the new message with attached
file window open.
How to switch to the main Outlook window without closing the new message
window?
Regards,
Dima

That is a limitation of SimpleMAPI. You need to save the message and close
it to switch windows.

Correct behavior as you are initiating SimpleMAPI.
It has some other limitations as well.

Thanks Diane for answering!
It's Strange, that you have to close a new message window to copy a
recipient e-mail address from the main window!
Does Outlook 2007 overcome this problem?
Regards,
Dima

No, it’s the same in Outlook 2007. Copy the address beforehand if its not
in the address book.

There is no way around it when using the file, send to menus but if you are
sending from Windows Explorer's send to menu, you can make a shortcut that
uses outlook.

Thanks Diane for suggesting!
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE10\OUTLOOK.EXE" /c ipm.note
causes:
"The command line argument is not valid. Verify the switch you are using"

That's because Office 2007 is V12, not V10. The OFFICE10 folder is for Office
XP, not Office 2007. Use "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Office\Office12\outlook.exe" /c ipm.note

I used "d:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /c ipm.note
because Office 2003 is installed in d:\Program Files\Microsoft Office.

Did you have the quotes and spaces correctly specified?
