It means you can't use it for business purposes...only for personal use that
has nothing to do with a business or commercial use.

It means you have the Home/Student version that can be installed in a
personal computer, but not the commercial version that would be
required to install in a business computer.

Not just a business computer, but any computer that is being used for work -
including non-profit work.

JoAnn

I consider writing a letter home as WORK (a nasty four-lettered word), so
can I still use H&S version?

Does that include an author writing a book or article that he hopes to sell?

If it does, it shouldn't (especially since very few published authors make
any appreciable profit on their books).

Well, that's what I would think as well, but technically, if you're writing
something in hopes of selling it, that's business.

I don't like to disagree with Suzanne but this time I have to. If you are an
author, your work product is commercial.

Hmmmm, are you asking Mummy and Daddy for money? That letter might be
construed as a business negotiation.

Nasty four-letter words to me are IRON, DUST, WASH............shudder!
