I have office 2003 and still cant install!
I just bought Microsoft PowerPoint 2003, and it's called an "update" because you need Microsoft Office to install it. I have Microsoft Office 2003, I have Excel, Word, and Outlook, all Office 2003 programs, yet when I try to install Powerpoint it says quote: Setup cannot locate a version of Microsoft Office 97, 200 or XP on your machine. If you have installed microsoft Office on your hard drive or available network share, please select the drive where Office is located. If you have a version of Microsoft Office on CD-Rom, place it in your Cd-Rom drive now and select the drive where Microsoft Office is located. OK So I did that, and it still doesnt recognize it. It does say Microsoft 97,2000, or XP, and I do have 2003, but should that matter? UGH, I'm really frustrated please help.

I'm afraid that it does matter. To update to PowerPoint 2003 you must have
a previous version of PowerPoint. See http://www.microsoft.com/office/powe...on126121120120. What version of Office 2003 do you have? Did it come with the computer? I ask because PowerPoint is included in all but the "Microsoft Office Basic Edition 2003" and possibly some OEM versions. See http://www.microsoft.com/office/edit...y/compare.mspx -- Sonia, MS PowerPoint MVP Team Autorun CD software, templates, and tutorials http://www.soniacoleman.com/ "BradPip" wrote in message ...
