Order of Category in X-axis
Good day everybody,
I have a chart looks like this : A3 | A2 | A1 | -------|------------------- I would like it to be like this : A1 | A2 | A3 | -------|------------------- I remember I can reverse my Category in X-axis by clicking a reverse option when I used Excel 2000. But now I couldn't do the same with Excel 2002. I will appreciate if someone can help me. Thanks in advance. Best regards, Julie |

Julie -
Double click the axis, click on the Scale tab, and check the Categories (or Values) in Reverse Order box. You probably also will want to check the Axis Crosses at Maximum box. These have been available since the first version of Excel I can remember using, a dozen years ago, and remain available through 2003. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com/ _______ Julie wrote: Good day everybody, I have a chart looks like this : A3 | A2 | A1 | -------|------------------- I would like it to be like this : A1 | A2 | A3 | -------|------------------- I remember I can reverse my Category in X-axis by clicking a reverse option when I used Excel 2000. Thank you, Jon.
I tried that and I got this : 0 20 40 -------|------------------- A1 | A2 | A3 | I want it to be : A1 | A2 | A3 | -------|------------------- 0 20 40 I think I missed something, I hope you can shed some light to me. Have a nice day. Best regards, Julie "Jon Peltier" wrote: Julie - Double click the axis, click on the Scale tab, and check the Categories (or Values) in Reverse Order box. Hi Julie -
What you missed was sentence two of my first paragraph: "You probably also will want to check the Axis Crosses at Maximum box." The maximum is now at the bottom, so this will turn around your chart. - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Peltier Technical Services Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com/ _______ Julie wrote: Thank you, Jon.
