Replace picture in Publisher w/ image from Photoshop PSD document
"I need to replace an image that's part of a Microsoft Publisher 2003
publication with an image copied from an Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 PSD document. Currently I select & copy the image in Photoshop. Then in Publisher I select the picture that I want it to replace. But when I "Paste Special", Publisher does NOT replace the image. Instead, it just pastes the image on top of and a little lower than the picture that I wanted to replace. Another problem is that it the size of the pasted image does not match the size of the picture I'm trying to replace. When I do the same with an image that I copy from either Picture Manager or from Paint, the picture is replaced and the new picture is resized to match the replaced picture. I want to do the same with an image that I copy from Photoshop. So, how can I correctly REPLACE an image in Publisher with a copy of an image from Photoshop?" |

Replace picture in Publisher w/ image from Photoshop PSD document
OscarVogel was very recently heard to utter:
So, how can I correctly REPLACE an image in Publisher with a copy of an image from Photoshop?" Do not copy and paste. (This is generally bad practise, as well as causing your problem) Export a PNG file from Photoshop; then in Publisher, right-click your current picture, go to Change Picture From File..., and select your PNG file. -- Ed Bennett - MVP Microsoft Publisher |

Publisher doesn't do .psd files. Use another format.
