Default Looking for my Message Store

Hi Fred,

Great to hear you were able to see the Microsoft folder when you looked

at
your Message Store for C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local
Settings\Application
Data\Identities\{651FEF03-F5AD-49E8-8735-3B1E6475A8FE}\Microsoft\Outlook
Express

I also assume you are able to see the Outlook Express folder?

Before going any futher I would like to confirm you can also see the

..dbx
files in the Outlook Express folder.

There is various ways to look into the Outlook Express folder, but I

would
like you to do it this way.

Choose Start on the Desktop, choose My Computer, then double click C

Disk,
then Documents and Settings, then Owner, then Local Settings, then
Application Data, then Identities,
then{651FEF03-F5AD-49E8-8735-3B1E6475A8FE}, then Microsoft, then Outlook
Express.

Do you see the .dbx files?

I would like to stay away from any other queries like folders you

created
and your other new identity until we resolve locating this message

store.

As I understand what you are trying to do is make a copy of this message
store and save it to external hard drive. If this is the correct

message
store then we should be able to accomplish the task with a few clicks of

the
mouse

| Well, Ken, you're close,
|
| In the path you mentioned I do see a Microsoft folder, but it's the

empty
| Microsoft folder that I created myself two or three chapters ago, in

an
| attempt to create a path to where my Store was supposed to be.
|
| In the new identity:
| C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application\|

Data\Identities\{A8086E6F-9076-4C54-919D-6B60E79E95E4}\Microsoft\Outlook|
| Express, the GUID folder shows empty and there is no Microsoft or

Outlook
| Express folders.
|
| At the beginning of this quest, that was how my old identity showed

the
path
| to the store also, but I came along and built those two missing

folders.
|
| Thanks, .... Fred
