importing a works 2000 data base to excel 2002 from xp professional
I got a new computer that has XP Profession which
includes excel 2002. I had a works 2000 data base file saved on a floppy disk, and I need to import the file to this computer to use it. No matter what I try to open it with, the computer says its not a valid file. If I try to go on line to open it, it's not recognized there either. PLEASE HELP!!! |

Try exporting it as something that Excel can read.

Like a .csv file for example.
I don't know what Works can export, but hopefully it supports a few standard formats. Otherwise, do a save as of the file to a Works 2.0 format, which Excel can read. -- Regards, Tom Ogilvy "Dawn" wrote in message ... Don't overwrite your original file if you do a saves in Works 2.0. Give it
a different file name. -- Regards, Tom Ogilv "Dawn" wrote in message ... I got a new computer that has XP Profession which includes excel 2002.
