Auto lookup across all address books in Outlook 2000
Hey the
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to make all address books be available for the auto search in the TO box when creating an email? I know if you type in the name and hit the tab it will search whichever address book is the default, is it possible to search the global list as well as say a public address book. When I try it, it only searches the one that is default. Let me know what you think. Rebecca |

You can do that now. Just right-click each contacts folder, go to Properties
and select "Show as e-mail address book". I've had multiple Contacts, personal address book and a large public contacts folder automatically searched. Be forewarned, though, the more address books you add the slower resolution is (especially if one is a public folder that has to be accessed on the server) and the more likely you are to get too many matches.
