Default Where is this field used?

I'm working with Access 2003 and have two fields in a table that hold *very*
similar content. I'd like to find out where in the dbase each of these fields
is used, so I can assess the impact of deleting one or the other. Is there
some tool I can use to do that?

Thanks,
Lynn

No there is no built-in tool to show that
You will have to examine every query and every form and report data source.
You can scan the VB code by the entire project so that is the easy part.
If you have macros, you will have to examine each one.
Often, its quicker to just delete the column then retest everything and see
what 'breaks'.

There isn't, directly; you can use Tools... Analyze... Documenter to document
all your queries, forms and reports, write them out to a Word document or text
file, and do a text search of that file.

Or, you can purchase or obtain one of the several third-party documentation
tools:

Free: http://www3.bc.sympatico.ca/starthere/findandreplace
Find and Replace: http://www.rickworld.com
Speed Ferret: http://www.moshannon.com
Total Access Analyzer: http://www.fmsinc.com

I'm not certain that all lf these are still available, my references have been
around for a few years.

Thank you, John - I'll update my file!

I'm glad to see that FMS has updated TAA. I'll go out and upgrade, since I am
starting to use 2007 (kicking and screaming...)
