Default Visio Worksheet Images Flashing/Flickering

I have this recurring problem of the shapes on my visio files
flickering/flashing whenever I open a file or change the shapes in the file
and I am unable to proceed and have to wait for the shapes to stop quivering
and when I have a busy file, this sometimes takes minutes. Any idea what is
causing this?

Sounds like Visio might be performing a redraw of the objects on the drawing
page. You may want to make sure you have the latest video driver for your
operating system and video adapter. If you do then try to adjust the hardware
acceleration for the video display. Do you have all the updates and service
packs for your version of Visio?
