Hi Lone,

Is it possible to make sql or xml from a Visio-databasediagram?
- or from other Visio diagrams?

Visio for Enterprise Architects (shipped with Visual Studio .Net Enterprise
Architect) will generate SQL DDL.

Also, I have developed an Add-on utility (free, URL below) that will export
this data into an XML format (it does not, however, generate an XSD based on
the model, but rather exports model meta-data as XML).

The next version of this tool, which will be released soon, will support
Visio Professional 2002/2003 as well. Thus, you could use it to generate
your own SQL DDL/XSD by writing XSLT against the XML output the utility
provides.

Hope that helps,
Scot.
