Sure, but you have to uninstall any trial first, clear temp files & reboot,
prior to installing from CD. Assuming you didnt do this, uninstall all versions of MS Office, including any activation wizard, then reboot. Then assuming all versions of Office have been removed - check first! - if they havent theres other steps to follow. Then install Office 2003 from your cd (I assume its a retail version, not one supplied when you purchased your old PC) *Before* you start Outllook how did you transfer your old pst, and where did you place it? i'll remove everything 07 this time because prior to my post i uninstalled
all 07 except for accounting 08 and small business connectivity component. i did not clear temp files but had rebooted several times since it was a while before i found my 03 disc. i was running 03 on my xp machine and copied that file to my flash drive and tried importing it but got errors. then on here i read i shouldn't import, so i copied to local/app data...outlook and tried opening and crashed. -- austin "DL" wrote: Sure, but you have to uninstall any trial first, clear temp files & reboot, prior to installing from CD. If you copied to the default location and overwrote any existing pst that
can cause corruption of both the data file and the outlook Profile. Try using the mail applet in the control Panel (classic View) to create a new profile - dont copy -, add the data file & the accounts, test accounts, set this Profile as default Then try opening Outlook "jaustin" wrote in message ... i'll remove everything 07 this time because prior to my post i uninstalled all 07 except for accounting 08 and small business connectivity component. i did not clear temp files but had rebooted several times since it was a while before i found my 03 disc. i was running 03 on my xp machine and copied that file to my flash drive and tried importing it but got errors. then on here i read i shouldn't import, so i copied to local/app data...outlook and tried opening and crashed. -- austin "DL" wrote: Sure, but you have to uninstall any trial first, clear temp files & reboot, prior to installing from CD.
