Default Stop Microsoft from installing its Outlook in my computer

I have Outlook Express 6 for my mail, but every time Microsoft updates my
computer it installs its Outlook program which does not work for me because
it stores my sent posts instead of sending them. How can I stop Microsoft
from doing this?

You are mistaken. Updates do no such thing and couldn't. Post more clearly
what you think is happening and provide the evidence for your conclusions.

Updates dont install Outlook, they merely set Outlook as your default mail
handlet.
If you dont want to use Outlook, uninstall it via your office cd
ie Insert office cd, modify installation, set outlook as unavailable (not
run from PC)
PS if outlook doesnt send mail then that is because of the way you have
configured outlook, or that you have an add in that is causing problems -
most often that is an anti virus program intergrated with outlook

If you already have Outlook installed, when Windows Update installs an
Office update, often the default mail program is reset to Outlook. Just set
it back to Outlook Express again. Alternatively, we can help you fix the
Outlook problem if you'd like.
