New Letter to Contact

I would like to know is there a way to have the Journal
inside Outlook2003 to automatically track updates made to
a contact (Ex. emails sent, and or specially when the New
Letter to Contact option is used from the actions menu.

Currently when the New letter to contact option is used, I
have to save the letter then open the Journal for the
contact then attach the letter to the journal then save
the journal entry. Is there a way to have outlook kepp
track of this automatically since I created the the letter
from inside the contact itself?

I think I found the solution to my question but any
suggestions will be welcomed. I have a new and related
question, is there a way to select a specific contact list
(use multiple outlook contact lists)in the Journal Options
to Record Journal entries for a contact. as is now oulook
lists all the contacts and there are a few hundred of
them. would be easier to be able to turn on the option for
a specific contact list.
