Default Table spilling to next page too soon

Can anyone tell me why my table is going on to the next
page even though there is still a lot of space on the
page. It is doing this a few times thus lengthening the
document. Table select table highlights the complete table
so it is not seeing it as separate tables.

Thanks,

Aidan.

I think I solved it. I changed style for all table to
Normal and this has rectified it

If you want to know what was causing it, you probably had the 'Keep with
next' setting applied to one or more paragraphs in the rows that were being
forced to new pages. Keep with next is a setting accesible through
FormatParagraphLine and Page Breaks that when applied will keep a
paragraph from being stranded at the bottom of a page, forcing it to move to
the next page if the paragraph that follows it moves to the next page. This
is often set by default for Heading styles because for headings this is a
desirable functionality. However, if used in tables it will cause the
behavior you reported, unless you are careful to only use it in a table row
with one paragraph and put the text that you want it to be kept with in the
next table row.
