MS Word 2000 Page X of Y Auto Text function

Default MS Word 2000 Page X of Y Auto Text function

On any document old or new, if I manually or automatically insert a page
number that shows current page and total number of pages, the document
shows correctly this information for each page onscreen, but prints like
Page X of X rather than Page X of Y, so that on a 3 page document, for
example, the second page header prints as Page 2 of 2 and the third page
as 3 of 3, etc. rather than 2 of 3 and 3 of 3.

I reinstalled the software with no fix.

Is this a common bug? How to get around it? Very frustrating.

Hmm, that sounds verrrry familiar! I -think- I reinstalled
the printer drivers, not sure. Worth a try at least.
