Default Excel Macros will not run

I have Excel 2002, when opening & trying to record a
Macro, it will not record at all. I have set my security
level to medium & ran a detect/repair. Still no results.
Any suggestions???

Hi Theresa,
What do you mean by "will not record". Does the Record Macro dialog box come up? Does the Stop Recording toolbar come up. Did you check in the Visual Basic Editor to see if a Module is being created?

Please provide some more details.

Theresa sent me the following through e-mail. I don't have any ideas. Hopefully someone else might.

Mark,
Thanks for answering my question. The record macro dialog box does not come up nor does the stop recording toolbar come up. Actually, it was for a client of mine & I didn't check the Visual Basic Editor to see if a module was being created (didn't know about it). Any other suggestions? I'll check it when my client calls back.

Regards,
Theresa Cannon

Could the workbook/worksheet be "protected"?
