Penny rounding!
Gordon, the trouble is not that I can't do as you've suggested, the problem is that almost all the columns are showing errors because of the tiny roundings up in the original transactions. What I need to know is how to enter the 17.5% in such a way that Excel will ignore those little differences. I don't care if we pay 12 pence too much tax on a quarter million pound bill, but I just dont know how to enter the command "tell me if column 2 is 117.5% of column 1 plus or minus .5%". Is there a way of saying "Tell me if the total in column 2 is outside the parameters 17-18%". I really need Excel to flag up the appalling errors and not the little ones. IF(A2A1*_17.5%_,1,""). Can I change this value to a spread of between 17 and 18%? -- rozbat ------------------------------------------------------------------------ rozbat's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=15635 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=271776 |
