Default Constant Error Message when Outlook is opened

I have a recurring problem when opening Outlook. I am running Windows XP
Home Edition. Every time I open Outlook, 4 reminders pop up. When I try to
dismiss them, I get the window ‘Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be
reminded again. Cannot locate recurrence information for reminder’. I have
read earlier posts, and have tried to find the .pst files to fix them. I was
unable to run outlook.exe/cleaneminders, getting the error message "Windows
cannot find 'outlook.exe/cleanreminders'. Make sure you typed the name
correctly, and then try again." I also just tried to search for .pst files
on the computer, but it couldn't find any. Can anyone help me?

Put a space between Outlook.EXE and /cleanreminders. See if that works
better.

Did you close outlook and verify it was closed (task manager, processes tab)
before reopening it using the switch?

Is Outlook (and Office) installed in the default location? For Office 2007
that would be C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12

Yes, Outlook is closed.

OK, then in the Run box try entering this:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Outlook.EXE" /cleanreminders

Out of curiosity, did it get rid of the error message about the program not
being found?
